Learn to Enjoy and Relax

Learn to Relax. You don’t need much to feel happy.

I was browsing the TV guide to see what’s on and just randomly clicked on some game show. It appeared that a lady has won a Jacuzzi and some tennis sport set. She was so happy as if she won free groceries for a lifetime or 10 million dollars. Was this because she was so happy that she won something (maybe she never won anything in her life) or was it because she appreciated everything that was coming to her? Well, I guess, we’ll never know…

Again and again it occurs to me that we do not value what we have or who is with us now.  Why are we not happy with what we have every day? Why we do not appreciate small things we have? Why are we after the big ones all the time and forget what’s really under our noses?

Keep Your New Year’s Resolution

The New Year is coming and you, like most of us probably started thinking about the upcoming year, new goals, ideas, and new beginnings. I’m sure, you also reflect on what was accomplished this past year or whether it was a good year. Some of us would compare the notes to see if the goals set last year were accomplished, while others would not even remember the goals they set.

The fact is that the same pattern occurs every year. When the New Year is approaching, we all want to start some things over, be nicer and kinder, accomplish more, start something new, find someone new, or simply be better off. However, many of us realize that we did not accomplish everything we wanted during the year. Then we set some new goals or reframe the old ones, and promise ourselves that the upcoming year will be different and that we will achieve better results.

How do you keep motivating yourself and moving forward during difficult times?

If I ask “How are you doing these days”, how would you respond?

I hear some people discussing about how bad the economic situation is, that gas prices are going up or that there is no gas, houses do not sell, banks do not give out loans anymore, etc. Others, however, are trying to look for good things and take advantage of the opportunities even during these turbulent times.

Where are you now? Do you see a glass half empty or half full?

Everything depends on how you choose to view things. Yes, you may not believe what I just said, but this is true. It is all about what you say to yourself, what’s in your head, whether you choose to react or respond to the situation, whether you prefer to complain and see only bad things coming to you or you are able to stop for a minute and “smell the roses”, see a thread o of sunshine through the clouds and enjoy the view it as much as you can.

What is Coaching?

What is Life Coaching?

What is Business Coaching?

Coaching in general is a powerful partnership – a client (individual or business) and a coach – that can empower, shift and change a life and or business. It is about a client like you, what you want and desire, and empowering you to get where you want to be with ease. It is directed towards change, moving forward, advancement, and results. From the organizational stand point, corporate and business coaching can apply to all parts of an organization from performance improvement, effectiveness to team building, retention, change management or adoption or a new technology. Coaching can be called different names like personal coaching, life coaching, business coaching, growth coaching, career, corporate coaching, etc. The coaching principles and tools are the similar. The difference is in the purpose of the coaching relationship – whether a person needs coaching for personal benefits, business, or both.

The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as “Professional coaching is an interactive process that helps individuals and organizations improve their performances and achieve extraordinary results. Professional coaches work with clients in all areas including business, career, finances, health and relationships. As a result of professional coaching, clients set better goals, take more action, make better decisions, and more fully use their natural strengths.”

Whether a client is an individual, business partners or an organization, a life or business coach will work towards the identifying the “self” (who you are), needs, current situation, goals for the future, and steps how to achieve goals and reach results. Whether it is small business start-up, a new professional career, or an advanced entrepreneur or solid business entity, the business coaching has been proven to increase performance levels by at least 20%. Through coaching a client will get support, encouragement, tools, and resources necessary to enable you to move forward and grow business. Coaching is about growth, support, moving forward, change, improvements, and results.
